Who We Are
Accent Global Initiative (AGI) (Formerly Accent Africa) is an independent, nonpartisan Think Tank that advocates for good governance to realize “The Africa We Want.” We are headquartered in Nairobi and operate under the laws of Kenya as Accent Global Initiative Ltd.
Accent Global Initiative (AGI) promotes responsible leadership and evidence-based policymaking in Africa by offering research and advisory services to empower various stakeholders in achieving good governance.
Founded by Dr. Gilbert A. Ang’ana, a social scientist in leadership and policy, AGI aims to connect research with practical policy application. We focus on collaboration, innovation, and impact, ensuring that governance reforms lead to real improvement for African nations.

I am a Social Scientist at the core focused on Leadership and Governance. I help leaders energize their organizations with bold strategies that unlock their teams’ potential.
My goal is to promote responsible leadership and governance in Africa and beyond through coaching, teaching, and consulting. I want to create a group of leaders whose influence is greater than their official roles.
